Iceland delegation to visit Baoding, the two sides will strengthen geothermal cooperation against pollution

From March 22 to 23rd from Iceland Republic Minister of education, science and technology, culture, Baoding yī lǔ jí · gòng nà sōng led trade missions to visit and feel the outcome of the cooperation between the two sides, promote Baoding and Iceland in the field of science and technology, culture, education, development and cooperation.
Baoding Mayor Ma Yu-feng says, Baoding and Iceland a lot of cities very close contact with bilateral friendly relations for a long time. As early as 1994, Baoding of China and Iceland established as sister cities, Harbour City, the two sides in economy, culture, science and education and many other areas have maintained good cooperative relations, staff of the Baoding City Government also made a special trip to Iceland to study experience of using geothermal resources. Rich in geothermal resources of Baoding, the municipal party Committee, the Municipal Government attaches great importance to development and utilization of geothermal resources, during which time Iceland give full play to their own advantages, actively involved in the development and utilization of geothermal resource in Baoding, both called the geothermal project, Xiong ice project as a model of cooperation.
Iceland is a beautiful country, Baoding is willing to work with Iceland to strengthen exchanges, broaden areas of cooperation, friendship continues for a long time. Believed that the Iceland delegation as an opportunity, will open a new chapter in cooperation between the two sides, greater well-being for the people.

During our visit in Baoding, the mission also visited Xiong ice geothermal heating area of cooperation in, visit and communicate with teachers and students of Hebei University.
