Depending on requirement for the jacket and vessel wall, SEHENSTAR will provide a welding pattern to assure that the cooling jacket will perform according to the specifications.
Once the welding pattern is determined, a thin stainless steel plate (jacket) is laser welded to the thicker inside plate. The laser welded plate is then rolled into the required diameter.
After rolling, the seams can be welded so the vessel wall is rigid enough to hydroform the outher jacket to the required height.
SEHENSTAR will of course provide assistance and procedures to guide you through the assembly of the pillow plate.

Design of the SEHENSTAR pillow plate depends on the specifications of the customer. Working pressure can go up to > 100 bar, with jacket thickness varying from 0,8 to > 2,5 mm, and vessel thickness from 2,0 to > 20 mm. Our plates can be supplied according to ASME, AD2000, EN13445 and PED.
