A customer from South Asia contacted us, looking for air to air heat exchanger to exchange waste gas from boiler with temperature 290 C and ambient.

Our engineer made a proposal and the customer asked more questions:

-          Is this exchanger is fins-tube construct  in chamber.  Air flow in tube side and exhaust gas flow contact outside tube ?

-          Can you explain me more on how both air and exhaust contact ?

-          Material you mention in quotation is all sus304 ? Included casing ?

-    The exhaust air might contain fly ash which has possibility to clog air passage if channel is too small. Is heat exchanger can be open for cleaning?

We explained that our heat exchanger is different from the fins-tube construct in chamber. Our heat exchanger is plate heat exchanger, the plate structure is as follows:

The blue arrow is plate side fluid( air side); the red arrow is shell side fluid(flue gas); and the plate side is all welded by laser, the air side and the flue gas side will not be in direct contact.

The heat exchanger is all SS304. The plate and plate distance is 30mm, and the shell side(flue gas side) can be opened for cleaning.

Then the customer visited our factory and confirmed all the details of the product.

We produced the heat exchanger and made pressure test before shipping. The maximum pressure is 2.8 bar.
