Eco-friendly cooperation in Central Asia is to be built in Urumqi base

Eco-friendly cooperation between China and Central Asian countries, comprehensive platform – the basis of eco-friendly cooperation in Central Asia bases are expected to settle in Urumqi.
On March 17, the ASEAN-China (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) environmental cooperation Center (hereinafter referred to as ASEAN Environment Centre) website message is displayed, the Center is already in development zone in Urumqi (Toutunhe District) on the study on the base construction of ecological environmental protection in China-Central Asia cooperation research projects.
ASEAN (SCO) Environmental Center approved by the State, set up by the State Department of environmental protection was formed in 2010.
Development zone (Toutunhe District) the relevant person in charge, on March 12, ASEAN (SCO) environmental research center came to the area, and issued the China-Central Asia environmental cooperation base construction report (draft), seek the views of relevant units on site.
Draft content, cooperation bases will participate in the national "Silk Road economic belt" building, following the country's foreign aid projects, the development of equipment manufacturing industry in environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources, ecological restoration and desertification control industries and transformation of key enterprises, promote green development pilot, while establishing service platform for international cooperation in the environmental protection industry, improve market information collection of environmental protection industry in Central Asia.
ASEAN (SCO), said Zhou Guomei, Vice President of environmental protection Director, Central Asian base for eco-friendly cooperation with environmental protection and green technology exhibition, training exchanges, technology development, and other functions.
According to reports, the research cooperation base completed report will be submitted to the State Department of environmental protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of science and technology and other related departments.
Cooperation base initially was expected to be completed by 2020.
